Bio

My artistic repertoire is a vibrant tapestry of mediums and genres. Proficient in oil painting, watercolours, inks, and mixed media, I’m known for my innovative use of discarded materials. My work spans from breathtaking landscapes to abstract, highly gestural pieces. My creative spirit is deeply influenced by the Steinerian school and the anthroposophical philosophy of the early 20th century, immersing my art in the world of colours and forms.
I draw inspiration from a diverse array of sources. My father gifted me a Klee painting, which adorned my room for two decades allowing me to stare at it and reflect. I draw from English Romantics like Turner and Constable, along with modern icons like Kandinsky, Pollock, and architect-artist Hundertwasser. My art reflects their abstract and material-centric influence, as well as the principles of Anthroposophy. Growing up in an environment where art, music, and psychology converged, I am deeply intrigued by the interplay between these realms, finding resonance and inspiration in contemporary artists.
My art seeks to convey the beauty of creation and the enchantment of colours, exploring their profound connection with human actions and interactions with the natural world. As colours blend and harmonize, so do people, forming intricate connections that create beauty. I love creating my work with oil or watercolours or experimenting with everyday products and heterogeneous materials.
My artistic journey began with small local exhibitions in Piedmont, Italy. After completing my education, I worked for a year at a painting studio in Milan’s Royal Palace. I extended my craft to fresco restoration projects across Lombardy (Italy), France, and Germany before returning to Italy where, in 2005, I founded my restoration studio, which thrived until 2011. In 2008 I wrote and launched an autobiographical book, “A Colourful Life,” where I show my optimistic perspective of the world through art. In 2018, I relocated to the UK and, in 2020, established my studio in Brixton, where I continue to create.
I welcome commissioned works and dedicate myself to the study of modern abstract artists and the exploration of creative possibilities with reclaimed materials.
When you invest in my art, you’re not merely purchasing a painting; you’re acquiring a piece of my soul, a fragment of the world I envision.
